The January 2013 edition of the Golf Australia magazine, ranks Federal as the 42nd best public access course in the country. Federal is the top ranked and only public access course to make the Top 100 in Canberra. The expanded criteria has enabled Canberra's acclaimed Federal Golf Club to enter the public access rankings for the first time this year.

The 18 hole championship course challenges all players of all skill levels with its par 72 layout. The expansive and pristine couch grass fairways undulate through stands of majestic eucalypts, populated with native birds and kangaroos, with magnificent views to the Brindabella ranges.
